AVSKUM:
Avskum is a punk band from Sweden, one of the bands who took part in forming what today is recognized as the world famous Swedish d-beat punk scene
together with bands like Mob 47, Anti Cimex, Asocial, etc. Avskum went into hiatus in 1988 and reformed the band in 1994 with a new bassplayer and three original members. This line-up was to become the core of the band, until the original drummer left and was replaced with a new drummer in 2018.

Today (2023), 40 years after starting up, the band is completing their fifth full-length album ”En annan värld är möjlig” (Another World is Possible). The record
follows the sound of the early 80s d-beat spirit from their masterpiece album ”Uppror Underifrån” (2008), but nowadays a bit faster due to the new drummer’s style. The lyrics deal with current social and spiritual oppression, colonization and ecocide. But on this album the lyrics are taken to a more personal level, built on the
author’s own experiences from being Sami (Scandinavian indigenous).

RESISTANT CULTURE:
Headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Resistant Culture is an alchemical blend of extreme metal and punk that infuses tribal and folk elements including flute, rattle, tribal drum, and chants. Their roots go deep into the soil of metal and crust punk. The singer, Wolf (aka Anthony Rezhawk), was featured on vocals on two Terrorizer albums,”Darker Days Ahead” and “Hordes of Zombies”, the latter on which he also produced the recording. In 2008 their guitar player, Katina, also joined Terrorizer for the recording of “Hordes of Zombies”, on which she played lead and rhythm guitars. Resistant Culture’s album “Welcome to Reality” featured the late Jesse Pintado (RIP) of Napalm Death/Terrorizer on rhythm guitar. This fall Resistant Culture Joins their friends Avskum in support of their new LP release ”En annan värld är möjlig” (Another World is Possible). This will be a tour not to miss!
