Dissona is one of Chicago’s most forward-thinking progressive metal bands and has become known for their diverse, imaginative sound, and powerfully expressive performances. They take a dramatic approach with their music, creating robust, yet intricate compositions with thought-provoking, often abstract lyrical content.
Dissona released their newest album, Receptor, in October of 2025 to much critical acclaim as well as numerous ‘Album Of The Year’ selections from the metal community. Dissona has performed alongside such cornerstone metal artists as Symphony X, Opeth, Dark Tranquility, Fate’s Warning, Cynic, Persefone, UneXpect, and many others and looks forward to bringing their electrifying music to The Piazza in 2026!
