VANDENBERG: “MY WHITESNAKE YEARS” WITH CO-HEADLINERS MARCO MENDOZA AND VINNIE MOORE – An Evening of Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Ted Nugent and More!

August 14 @ 8:00 pm

VANDENBERG: One of the finest six-stringers on the planet, Adrian Vandenberg is arguably also one of the most underrated. By the mid-’70s, Adrian Vandenberg was already forging his own path. In 1976, at just 22 years old and while still an art student at the Academy of Arts, he formed his first rock band, Teaser, releasing a self-titled debut the following year. Relentless touring across the Benelux and Germany helped shape the foundation of a career that was quickly gathering momentum. That momentum became unmistakable in 1981 with the formation of Vandenberg. Signed to Atlantic Records, the band achieved international recognition with their self-titled debut, driven by the enduring rock ballad “Burning Heart,” which reached No. 39 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Follow-up albums Heading for a Storm (1983) and Alibi (1985) further elevated the band’s profile, while major tours alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Rush, and KISS established Vandenberg as a formidable live act. A gifted visual artist as well as a guitarist, Adrian painted the band’s album artwork himself, leaving a distinctive visual signature on the era.

MARCO MENDOZA: In the world of bass guitar there is not much Marco can’t do or hasn’t done. He has recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in the rock and music such as Blue Murder, John Sykes, David Coverdale, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Lynch Mob, Neal Schon, Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries, and The Dead Daisies. The list literally goes on and on! Marco is a dynamic live performer who is equally at home at a huge stadium as a small jazz club. He can cover just about any musical style from jazz, fusion, world music, Latin groove to all out hard rock.

VINNIE MOORE: Once Vinnie Moore picked up his first guitar (a Kay) at the age of 12, he became, as he describes it, a “guitar freak.” His earliest influences included – among others – Jeff Beck, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Queen. As a performer, Vinnie Moore’s resume is impressive. A member of Alice Cooper‘s band, he toured the U.S. on the Operation Rock’N’Roll tour and also performed on Alice’s album Hey Stoopid. Vinnie’s own band has toured extensively as a headliner and also was chosen as opening act for legendary rockers Rush on the Northeast leg of their Roll The Bones Tour. Vinnie also toured Japan as a member of the T.M. Stevens’ band, which included Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic) on keyboards, Wil Calhoun (Living Color) on drums, and Al Pitrelli (Megadeth) on guitar. In 2003, Vinnie joined the legendary group UFO (Phil Mogg, vocals; Pete Way, bass; Jason Bonham, drums; Paul Raymond, keyboards).
