Tonight we bring you the sumptuous sonic snack, DEVIN BRAHJA WALDMAN. WALDMAN (saxophonist, drummer, synthesizer dilettante, composer, and co-producer for the poetry and music label Fast Speaking Music) leads the tour de force ensemble, BRAHJA. Since the age of ten, WALDMAN has accompanied his aunt, poet Anne Waldman, a member of the Outrider experimental poetry community. It’s easy to pinpoint Anne’s influence in Waldman’s remarkably lopsided compositions. His ability to seamlessly weave spoken word musings into hypnotizing syncopated rhythms will have you on your knees begging for more.
