For first timers:
Beard-Metal Fest is free admission, free camping, and free firewood, but donations are accepted. If you are camping, we all gather around and share one big communal bonfire in the brick fire pit area. Campfires anywhere else are prohibited.
There is electricity and shelter in the barn area but not in the camping area.
Bring your own food, liquor, beer, ice, BBQ grill, charcoal, lighter fluid, camping gear, bug spray, sun block, rain gear, batteries, etc.
If the weather is hot, it’s going to be hot in the barn. We have some fans to move air but it will still be hot. There is nothing we can do about the weather but there is a large creek in the back of the property that is good for a cool dip.
Bands receive free commemorative t-shirts in exchange for their performances. Others can purchase the t-shirts for a small fee.
There is a liquor store, grocery store, gas station, and several restaurants right down the street from Beard-Metal Fest. If you’re looking for good beer, the grocery store (Berkot’s) is probably your best bet.
GPS is not always 100% correct for finding the address. If anyone gets lost, feel free to call me personally on my cell phone and I will help you the best I can. You should not have to drive on any gravel roads unless maybe you live in the area and are taking backroads. All the main roads to BMF are paved. If you end up on a gravel road, this is a good indication that either you passed it up or that your GPS is a little off. There are signs at the entrance to the driveway that read “37355 S. Zilm” and “Casa De Linda.”
Last but not least – please do not throw cigarette butts, bottle caps, and other garbage on the ground. Instead, please use one of the many trash receptacles on the property.
