MOON DUO hits the Bottle to celebrate the release of their new LP, Shadow of the Sun, out the very same day on Sacred Bones. The psych-rockers released this incredible music video featuring pro skater Richie Jackson and will be returning to our stage for the first time since September of 2012, when they celebrated the release of their last record, Circles, also out on SBR. Needless to say, we like celebrating together. Since their inception in the late aughts, RIPLEY JOHNSON from WOODEN SHJIPS and SANAE YAMADA have produced Kraut-inspired psych with a chilly underbelly that blows hundreds of stoner bands out of the water and back into their parents’ basements. Cultivating uncharted rhythms and tones to expand on the trippy repeat-o rock of their previous albums, MOON DUO continues to push themselves into new sonic territories with off-kilter beats, grinding riffage and cosmic soundscapes.
