CHURCH OF MISERY, MONDO GENERATOR, TOKE

———-

Scorched Tundra is proud to announce CHURCH OF MISERY will return to Chicago, performing at the legendary The Empty Bottle. Support comes from Mondo Generator and North Carolina’s Toke.

This event – along with the recently announced MONOLORD show – represents a new chapter in the history of Scorched Tundra. Partnering with The Empty Bottle ensures we can work together to continually bring great underground talent to Chicago all year long.

Church of Misery is a doom metal band from Tokyo, Japan, formed in 1995.  The bands musical style blends Black Sabbath-inspired doom, ’60s fuzzy tube-driven boogie, and psychedelic rock with lyrics focusing on serial killers and mass-murders. Led by founding member and bassist Tatsu Mikami, Church of Misery has released six full length albums, most recently 2016’s critically acclaimed And Then There Were None… on Rise Above Records. This marks the bands first performance in Chicago since 2013.
