DESCRIPTION:Nation Of Pain / Coronary / Revel Noise\nLive Wire Lounge\nSat\
 , Dec 13\,6:00 PM\n21+\nThe Birth of a NationThe origins of new metal trio
  NATION OF PAIN go back to 2008 in the far north suburbs of Chicago.Former
  MORTAR drummer Scott Rothschild hit up old friend Gary Modica\, bassist f
 or metal band WRATH to play and record on some songs that Rothschild had b
 een working on. They needed a guitarist as well\, so Gary asked Scott Nyqu
 ist\, also in WRATH at the time\, to participate. Nyquist quickly hopped o
 n\, as the three had known each other for years through their respective b
 ands playing thrash shows together in the 80’s and early 90’s. They ha
 d solid metal history.They got together and went right to work on fine tun
 ing the songs. There was a noticeable chemistry that was clear from the mi
 nute they got into the same room together.Feeling inspired in mid-2022\, N
 yquist contacted Rothschild and Modica about possibly getting together to
 jam and maybe write some music. No obligations. No agendas. Zero pressure.
 Once again\, without hesitation\, they were all in. In late October 2022\,
  the three dove in and quickly came up with new material. It felt right\;
 the chemistry was as if it never ended\, and they continued to write and r
 evisit the material they had previously written. It was clear by this poin
 t that this was going to be more than just a project again. It was a band.
