Metal Mondays at the LiveWire Lounge presents another monthly installment of, KILLANTHROPY: An evening of Heavy Metal Music for a philanthropic benefit.

This month’s cause: The Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Established in 1979, The Greater Chicago Food Depository partners with 700 agencies and programs including pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and responses for children, older adults and veterans. This network distributes food where it is needed most throughout Cook County. Every day they distribute the equivalent of 164,000 meals.

The night is simple: the more you drink and donate towards your song requests, the more you also help feed your community.

So what can you do?
1) Show the fuck up. Bring a friend.
2) Grab a beer.
3) Bang your head.
4) Give a small cash donation of your allotment in the designated buckets along with your song requests. All donations go to the GCFD.
5) Want to make a non cash donation? We accept non-perishable food and non-food items such as: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, disposable diapers and other toiletries. These tangible items will be donated to the Irving Park Community Food Pantry directly.
